Not completely sure of the chemistry at work here but the intake of 2-3 wafers per day do not seriously affect carb count but definitely lessens the effect of "sweet-tooth-itis".Gryphonhttp://www.lowcarb-weightloss.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7471182654004092301.post-10338792790599407912009-09-09T14:29:33.274-07:002009-09-09T14:29:33.274-07:00One of the coolest things about switching to an LC...One of the coolest things about switching to an LC lifestyle is that I now eat real chocolate! I used to enjoy "milk chocolate" bars that were mostly sugar and fillers - devoid of many of the health-giving phytochemicals found in true cacao. Now I use 100% pure, non-alkalized cocoa powder and truly derive the benefits. :-)

Happy to see you're a fellow cocoa lover, Carolyn!

My best to you!Harry/JPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04259374954499772933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7471182654004092301.post-37191941348822704922009-08-25T17:03:43.843-07:002009-08-25T17:03:43.843-07:00happy b-day tou 2...mine is the 18th...my sister i...happy b-day tou 2...mine is the 18th...my sister is the 5th and a good friend is the 3rd , like uCarolynnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7471182654004092301.post-77550792412503521792009-08-24T12:50:39.210-07:002009-08-24T12:50:39.210-07:00I agree with Harry ... your garden does indeed sou...I agree with Harry ... your garden does indeed sound wonderful!
Glad you're enjoying your market experience.Brightceterahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04315996303259692721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7471182654004092301.post-16346865399795885632009-08-24T12:48:18.789-07:002009-08-24T12:48:18.789-07:00Arggggghhhhhh.

Well I did some further researching into the matter as I was hooping that maybe the fiber replace the maltodextrin that is used in regular splenda. This is what I found out.
"Splenda with Fiber" is sucralose mixed with "soluble corn fiber" while the Splenda versions we are used to has maltodextrin and dextrose.

So which is better?? Well, I think that the liquid splenda is still the best as it doesn't use fillers.. but this fiber enhanced might be great for low carbers that dont like their veggies :) PS if yu go to the splenda website they will send you two packets for free to try.. I had them sent to my parents house and will have them send them with their grandkids next care package :)Low Carberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06489976549940691081noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7471182654004092301.post-87946566279941636122009-02-22T18:39:00.000-08:002009-02-22T18:39:00.000-08:00hmmm that would make sense but can you post the nu...hmmm that would make sense but can you post the nutrition info.. then I can tell for sure :)Low Carberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06489976549940691081noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7471182654004092301.post-61281309827600625952009-02-22T13:01:00.000-08:002009-02-22T13:01:00.000-08:00Glad to hear about your lovely V Day. :-)I managed...Glad to hear about your lovely V Day. :-)

I managed to make it through both deliciously and LC.

I know a lot of people do (cheat). I've cheated on diets many, many times in the past. Lately, I've been pretty good about avoiding that though.

I think the important thing is just to get back on track ASAP. If you can do that, then little cheats here and there shouldn't be much of a problem, IMO.Harry/JPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04259374954499772933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7471182654004092301.post-25034763002641438572009-02-11T19:53:00.000-08:002009-02-11T19:53:00.000-08:00What about 'heating it up "? Some LCers do okay with them. Others do not. If they work for you, almonds are pretty good way to go.

I know Jimmy Moore likes low carb wraps. If you cook some breakfast sausage in advance ... you could simply wrap the sausage in an LC tortilla and add some cheese or mayo or mustard and warm it up in the microwave.

I haven't baked in awhile but, in the past, I've made some coconut flour cheddar bisquits. Those are good "grab and go" options. Here's where I got that recipe:

http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/cheddar_biscuits.html

I hope this helps! :)Harry/JPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04259374954499772933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7471182654004092301.post-68287612983929495722009-02-07T15:01:00.000-08:002009-02-07T15:01:00.000-08:00Good day, Carolyn.Nice blog you have here. :)I thi...Good day, Carolyn.

Nice blog you have here. :)

I think I undoubtedly eat more veggies since switching to an LC lifestyle.

I need to make a conscious effort to eat more fruits (besides tomatoes and avocados).
